    The Boenzee Cryque competed in KBTR’s Dance and Music Festival’s Battle of the Bands held in the National Western Exhibition Hall – November 19th thru the 21st, 1967. Many of the members had been attending the University of Colorado in Boulder.

    They were very active around the Denver teen-scene in the mid 1960’s and participated in local battles of the bands. Their second incarnation line-up would include both George Grantham and Rusty Young. George had attended Jefferson High School in Lakewood and Rusty was a graduate of Denver Lincoln High School.

    The Boenzee Cryque performed at the University of Colorado homecoming dance in 1968 toward the end of their run.
