Like her husband, she was implicated in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal (1MDB). On 1 September 2022, she was found guilty of corruption in relation to a school electricity project, fined $303m and sentenced to ten years imprisonment.[1][2] On 19 December 2024, a Malaysian high court acquitted Rosmah Mansor of seventeen counts of money laundering and tax evasion due to insufficient evidence.[3]
